About Alcudia
Location

Alcudia is one of the most attractive destinations on the Balearic Islands. Located in north-eastern Majorca, 54 km from Palma, it lies on a peninsula that separates the bays of Alcudia and Pollensa. It has over 30 km of coastline with beautiful fine sand beaches, steep cliffs and lovely hidden coves

Interesting places

Hidropark.  Water parks, lots of sport and fun   .There you can enjoy slides, pools, wave pools, mini golf and much more, all kinds of fun to have an unforgettable family day.

Golf Aucanada.  Aucanada Golf features a privileged setting on natural land and a construction-free site right next to the Mediterranean. You’ll be able to play your favourite sport throughout the year; our climate, hotels and facilities make it possible.   18 holes.

Mallorca’s Albufera.  This is a wetland of great ecological value, declared a Nature Reserve in 2001. It has matchless plant and animal wealth and is the perfect place for watching and studying birds in their natural habitat.

Alcudia harbour. There’s a daily ferry that links Menorca with Alcúdia, both Ciutadella and Maó. The journey takes only a couple of hours and it’s a great way to get to know Minorca. Arriving by sea in the old port of Maó is unforgettable.

The Roman city of Pol·lèntia.   Is one of the archaeological treasures of the Balearic Islands. Founded in the 1st century B.C. by the Roman consul, Quinto Cecilio Metelo, important constructions such as the theatre, forum and La Portella re – main.

La Victoria. This is one of the points of reference on the mountain of Alcúdia. It is home to a small chapel with special meaning for the people of Alcudia. From here, numerous day trips can be taken with incomparable views and landscapes.

Puig de Sant Martí.  All kinds of walking, horseback riding and biking trips can be taken here. The most daring visitors can go paragliding or hang-gliding from the top. The cave of Sant Martí is worth a visit.

Alcudia’s beaches. You’ll find a wide variety of them: fine sand beaches, pebble beaches, big ones, little coves…

Cruise Ships. Another way to get to know Alcúdia is to gaze at it from the sea. To sail along its coastline, swim in its unspoilt coves and gaze at its beautiful sea bottom, fauna and flora. Go on a trip on a glass-bottom catamaran to discover the underwater world of Mallorca with its marine flora and fauna and the wonderful spots along the North coast of the island before reaching the beach of Formentor and the cove of Sant Vicenç.
The boats have restaurant, coffee bar, slides and much more. Some trips have a paella and fresh fish menu included.

Market

Alcúdia’s market is one of the most important on the island due to its atmosphere and the wide variety of products; fruits, vegetables, shoes, clothes, souvenirs, leather, hippy products, hair plaits, African items, Mallorcan doughnuts, jewellery, bed linen, small animals, and a lot more. The market spreads out through the old town, inside the walls and near the Roman city of Pollentia.
Alcúdia’s market takes place every Tuesday and Sunday from 8’30 am to 1’30 pm.
